Air rifles, shotguns, and rifles are regulated weapons. Their transport is subject to a specific authorisation, and permission is required. Make sure to find out the proper information.

To transport them, you must have in your possession :

  • - A carrying permit, which will be required at check-in.

This equipment is included in the baggage allowance.

The following are allowed :

  • - Ammunition for all types of hunting weapons

Packaging :

Ammunition must be packed in strong cardboard, wood or metal boxes, limited to a gross weight of 5kg per passenger (gross weight = weight of cartridges + weight of the box used to package them).

All cartridges must be stored in their packaging. To keep cartridges from moving around, all spaces should be filled with a cushioning material.

The transport of spent cartridges in bulk packaging is prohibited.

Important :

Hunting and sporting weapons are not considered to be dangerous goods but must be stored separate from ammunition.

When checking-in, you must declare that your weapons are unloaded and that the cartridges are packed.
