Moreover, in this west-central African city, you will find the National Museum of Mali, which was built in 1979 and inspired by the Sudanese model, offering a collection of works about the cultural life of societies in Mali.
The capital of Mali pays tribute to the arts, particularly through the National Museum of Mali and the Conservatory of Arts and Multimedia Trades. It is in Bamako that you will find the National Library of Mali and the French Cultural Centre, which will delight French tourists visiting Mali.
Go out and meet people as you stroll through Bamako and its various neighbourhoods: Djelibougou (the griot community), Ouolofobougou (the Wolof community) Bozola (the Bozo community), etc. These exchanges add a unique flavour to your trip.
Discover Bamako's cuisine and try Tô: millet or corn added to boiling water and served with goubo sauce.
